Redefining Antipsychotic Switching – Safer, Simpler, Smarter
Equipping healthcare professionals, pharma, and clinical research organisations with evidence-based digital switching tool and real-world data to improve patient safety and streamline trials.
Safer Antipsychotic Switching – A Transformative Approach in Severe Mental Illness
iSWITCHED (Implementing SWITCHing EDucational intervention) is an NIHR-funded initiative led by Keele University in collaboration with Midlands Partnership University NHS Foundation Trust (MPFT) and other institutions. Our mission is to reduce preventable health risks for individuals with severe mental illness (SMI) by equipping clinicians with tools and training to safely switch patients from higher-risk antipsychotics to safer, lower-risk alternatives.
Mental Health Clinicians
Utilise evidence-based protocols for switching, shared decision-making resources, and comparative drug insights to guide switching from higher-risk to safer antipsychotic treatments confidently, improving patient outcomes and enhancing clinical decision-making.
Pharmaceutical Companies
Utilise evidence-based protocols for switching, shared decision-making tools, and real-world insights that can support clinicians in adopting safer antipsychotics—bridging the gap between innovation and patient care.
Contract Research Organisations
Utilise customisable protocols and real-time data insights to reduce dropout rates, streamline reporting and improve trial consistency. By integrating structured antipsychotic switching management into trial workflows, sponsors can deliver high-quality data and achieving timely approvals.
